•When the very famous, Chartres Cathedral was built
•Architects began to decrease the surface areas of the walls andincorporate more stained glass windows
•When a High Gothic church has a vast amount of windows, it is said tobe built in the Rayonnant, or radiant style
Late Gothic (Late 13th C, Early 14th C)
•Has vast amounts of pointed arches and extensive tracery on thebuilding’s exterior, like flames, in France, it is called Flamboyant style
